Chances of Success?
There is a large, respected body of research which shows that acupuncture improves fertility - click here.
In addition I see the success first hand on a very regular basis in my clinic and the growing number of babies coming to visit who were conceived with the help of acupuncture is testament to this.
Where are the needles placed?
Most commonly in the forearms, lower legs, abdomen and ears. The ultra fine, painless needles are retained for around 15 minutes before being removed. Patients find it a relaxing treatment and feel immensely calm afterwards.
How many treatments will I need?
The answer really depends on your age, health and any underlying emotional strain. As a rule I always start patients off with a course of 6 weekly treatments. This is usually enough to 'reset' the body. After this we will re-assess and devise an ongoing treatment plan.
Can Acupuncture help with Male Infertility?
It takes two! Men today also face fertility problems. Benefits to male fertility have been helped by acupuncture with positive effects on sperm count, morphology and mobility. Men can be assured that there are no needles anywhere around the groin area.
Can I have Acupuncture once I get pregnant?
Yes you certainly can. Treatment is very restorative physically and emotionally. It helps alleviate symptoms such as morning sickness, back ache, heartburn and insomnia.
